The 2009 Skiing Season Starts Early in some Colorado and California Ski Areas this year, and more snow is falling in the northern Rocky Mountain ski areas!
Skiing Season Starts Early this year! Colorado and California Ski Resorts are open in early October, a record date. The unseasonably cold weather has allowed snow making machines to be started early, and now actual snow fallen in some measurable quantity that has added to it, currently creating a skiing snow base of better than 20 inches.Denver has already had traffic jams with icy weather and had to cancel the Colorado Rockies post season baseball games, not feeling like baseball weather at all.
Get your Ski gear ready to go skiing this year, as this is the early and great start of a 2009 skiing season in the Western US. With the down economy, the prices of gear are on sale and the new stuff is coming in.
